Hi Everybody,
Once again, I must apologize for not being able to really put out a proper update letter since the conference, but getting teams and guests out of town led up to the following weekend, we had service Sunday and in a matter of hours today the Lord sealed the deal for me to go back to be with my mom for my step-dad's funeral in Washington. It is now almost 1a.m. on Tuesday and I will be heading to the airport in about 6 hours. At 10p.m. Tuesday I will be in Seattle. So all that to say, I need your prayers, as well as for my mom and my wife and kids while I am gone. I will be returning to Rome leaving Seattle Sunday a.m. and arriving in Rome Monday a.m.
I will, by God's grace, get out a genuine update on all that took place at the conference. It truly was a blessing and God did many wonderful things. Our speakers were awesome and the Hungarian choir was amazing too. So many folks chipped in and served and came together in love to make it all happen. In the end, we know that God was certainly glorified.
One neat praise report plus prayer request before I go. Stefano, who has been coming on Sunday's for about 3 months, accepted the Lord Sunday at church. Be praying for him as the enemy is now threatened by him being a child of God and so forth. I heard he had a trying day today... so.. the enemy doesn't wait. We praise God for him. He is a special bro and we can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for his life.
Pray also for Vincenzo and Robert as they take care of the flock in my absence. Robert has been working lately and Vinni (as we call him) has full days with his little guy while his wife is at work. Vinni works out of home translating Chuck Smith's teachings for those of you who didn't know. Lift up the rest of the body too.
Gotta run for now. Thanks for your faithful prayers and all of the love and concern regarding my step-dad Jim. We are glad that his suffering has ended and that he is with Jesus. Bummer for my mom and all of us, but wow, what a time for him to now be in the presense of Jesus. Amen.
Love you all
Brent and Hope

DEAR PRAYING,
This morning (American time) my step-dad Jim passed away after battling cancer for the last 5 years or so. Many of you have been lifting him up in prayers for a long time and now he is rejoicing with Jesus. We praise the Lord that his great suffering has ended but of course we will miss him. He was a great man and a godly man. Please be in prayer for my mom and Jim's family. May the Lord comfort them and bless them in this time of loss. May my mom have lots of God's abounding grace to get through it all and have wisdom to make necessary decisions that come along with the circumstances. May God be glorified in it all.
Pray for me and my family too as we see about getting back (to Washington) for the funeral and being there for my mom. We ask for wisdom, God's provision, and that we might be able to be a blessing, an encouragement, a comforting presence as well as a help. Thank you all for caring and praying so fervrently.
Many blessings
Love Brent and Hope Harrell

Dear Praying,
I will get an update out soon on the conference and so forth but for now I am forwarding you a prayer request from my brothers in the North as Pastor Craig has not been doing so well. Please lift him up in prayer. Thank you for your faithfulness. I don't recommend calling.

Hello everybody,
Our first day at the conference was great. The way that God has blessed and provided with volunteers for staff is amazing. The theatre was set up all day Friday by all these workers, brothers and sisters and it just looked amazing. We have a Latin American church here in Rome that has a security ministry and they have about 40 people helping with security and children's ministry. Another church from above Rome has a hand full of people helping, the sound guy is a brother from outside of Rome, the camera crew go to another church in town..... It is really beautiful to see the brethren sincerely dwell together in unity. Praise God. Thank you for your prayers. Keep it up. Our speakers delivered some powerful messages last night by way of introduction so there was quite a buzzzzzz. There weren't too many folks there last night, maybe a couple hundred or so, but be praying as we get into day two and have our first concert tonight. Our band leading worship has worked really hard and were heavenly last night. It was the best worship that I have had the privilege of participating in for a long time. During one of the speakers the young guys employed by the theatre that work the bar (coffee shop) were asking me questions about evangelicals etc... and that opened up a great opportunity for me to witness to them. Pray for the theatre staff working alongside of us to be blessed and get saved.
Unfortunately, we were unable to get the webcast going. Couldn't tell you why but no big deal. Sorry for those of you who were looking so forward to getting in on it. I assure you that you would have been and would be blown away. The whole thing is being professionally recorded with cameras and we are recording sound as well. So, there will be some incredible materials that we will be getting out to the world as soon as possible. Gotta run for now. It is 7:45 a.m. and we have a full day.
Many blessings to you. May we not be sleeping or deceived as these last days rapidly bring great apostasy and great religious lies in the name of Christ.

Hi folks,
Lots happening here in Rome and the Harrell household. We are now coming down to one week left before Isy finishes her first year of school. Pre-school of course, but nonetheless, Monday thru Friday from 8:30-1:00. It makes quite a day for Isy, but she loves her friends and has a good time while she is there. Next week she has the big end of the year play/recital deal. She froze up at the Christmas one so keep her in prayer. Summer coming up for her. More time with both kids at home so pray for Hope and myself. By Gods grace we have a young lady named Aan-Sofie coming next week to help us out while we face off for the conference.
On the conference, we now only have two more weeks to go. The momentum is gaining. By Gods grace, we are praying, working, organizing, getting out the word etc … We continue to ask for your fervent prayers over every possible detail. Some areas of focus for the next week or two:
- speakers, their health, safe travel, peaceful hearts and minds, readiness, focus, anointing, provision for travel, lodging, and honorarium
- outreach team O.R.U. as they are here now doing outreach on campus and passing out flyers for the conf., team Boise, Budapest gospel choir, smaller groups traveling in to serve, their travel, team unity, against attack of enemy, total provision
- theatre cost balance, theatre set up, lighting, technicians and their work done well, internet service, podium for stage, plants, banner all costs provided for
- children’s ministry and child care servants, organization, supplies
- cameras and camera man, travel, equipment safety and delivery, wire connections USA to European-no hassles, problems- sound/video/audio and live cast on the net, everything to run smooth
- translators – health, strength, sharp minds, grace to understand and communicate clearly and precisely
- translations – Woman Rides the Beast DVD finished, copied, ready for conference; Judgment Day book is finished, need provision to pay translator and get it printed in time for the conference; safe and timely delivery of DVD’s, VHS, and books from the north on Messages from Heaven and materials by Oakland and Tetlow dealing with Catholicism and Mary
- local pastors and congregations to help and serve, be involved, be in attendance, receive the teaching, materials, be equipped and blessed
- multitudes of non-believers to attend, be touched, convicted of sin, and brought to repentance
- pray against the powers and principalities in opposition to God’s people, God’s Word going forth and setting people free; spiritual attack on leadership and families serving at the conference;
- radio – God has opened a door to do a live interview on Vatican Radio dealing with music in Protestant Christianity – pray for me, pray that we might have 3-5 of the choir members come early to do a live performance in the studio. This is to be done live the actual Saturday morning of the conference!!
We’ll leave it at that for now. We certainly need and appreciate your prayers. Praise God that he uses the foolish things!! May God give us grace. May He give you grace as well. We love and appreciate all of you and know that you will share in the reward as God moves upon Rome and in Italy through your prayers and giving.
Special blessings in His name,
By Grace,
Brent and the crew

Ciao tutti,
Warm greetings from HOT Rome, (no complaints)
We hope this note finds you fighting the good fight, standing firm, walking in grace. We are seeking to abide ourselves. God has been so good to us and we thank Him for his faithfulness. He is faithful even when we are faithless. Hope and the girls are good. In a couple of weeks Isabella turns four. She is attending the Italian pre-school and rips it up in Italian with her little friends. Olivia is growing and speaking more finally. She is now following her sister’s monkey examples and climbing on everything. Hope stays verybusy with me, the girls, her women’s study, and is actually tomorrow is running in a 5 K here in Rome tomorrow.
We are rapidly approaching the dates for our ‘Last Days Deception’ prophecy conference here in Roma. Many things are coming together and we continue to ask your fervent prayers. I want to fill you in on some praise reports letting you know how wonderful God has been and how your prayers have been at work, and also give you some requests to be lifting up in the coming days and weeks.
- As you know, God worked miraculously to bring in the deposit for the theatre by May 1. That was Red Sea stuff for us. Thanks for joining us for the ride and for your encouragement. Now we need to pray in the remaining balance!!
- More recently, concerning the filming of a documentary which Roger Oakland had in mind to do, a contact of his offered to bring three cameras and film the conference as well as the documentary free of charge!! We had a quote from a company here in Rome to film the conference with one camera for about $700 dollars not including the time to help with the documentary. The reason we wanted at least one camera is that we want to broadcast it live on the internet so many people all over can join us for the conference. So that was a most gracious answer to prayer!
- We are about to finish up our printing cache. So far, we have printed a total of about 2500 brochures in both languages sending English versions to Calvary’s stateside then sending Italian versions here in Italy. We have about 1500 programs printed and ready for the conference. Today or tomorrow we should be getting the final batch of printed advertising receiving 40,000 postcard sized invitations (20,000 of the conference plus 20,000 for the gospel choir concerts on Saturday and Sunday evenings), and 1,000 posters (500 of conference, 500 for the concerts). In God’s mercy we will have some local Christians as well as some stateside teams here to help us distribute these materials and post them. We are also knocking on the doors of various types of print media, radio stations, and t.v. to see if God might not open up a way to get the word out through greater media. Please pray for total provision for all costs involved.
- The Lord has also been most gracious to provide several people to help us with all of the various translating needs to this point. There has been a lot of hard work involved and we are so grateful. Do keep these folks in mind as they labor in love and come up against obstacles and warfare: Larry, Paola, Vincenzo. Please pray for interpreters for the speakers at the conference. We have a list made up and are awaiting confirmation for primary interpreters as well as back ups.
- Hours of organizational meetings and planning are taking place. We need lots of grace since God uses such foolish things as us. There are many details that have come up and are being addressed and many more to come until the conference is over. We ask for the Holy Spirit’s gifting, guidance, protection, help, etc…
- Dave Hunts’ latest book ‘Judgment Day’ is being translated but needs funding if God would so lay it on your heart. We have prepared an English transcript for Dave’s ‘A Women Rides the Beast’ DVD and have translated it into Italian. Vincenzo will work on doing the voice over, then we will use a professional studio here in Rome to do the mixing perhaps. That project seems to be coming along well. Do lift up Vini, as we call him.
- Another ministry in the north of Italy called Sabbath films has been working on Roger Oakland and Jim Tetlow’s recent book ‘Queen of All’. Pray for the printing and delivery of these materials in time for the conference.
- Pray for all finalization of itineraries, accommodations, travel and transport logistics, support teams, event coordination, financial provision, and of course, for God to be working in the hearts of believers and non-believers alike preparing them for an impacting work within.
- Pray against the schemes of the enemy, attack on our families, unbelief, and any sort of division, jealousy, worldly wisdom etc… Pray for: unity, peace, lots of grace and heavenly wisdom.
- Pray for the choir and their leaders as they prepare for 3 stops and 4 concerts here in Italy. May God provide for all of their needs and bless them as they seek to minister in Italy.
- Lift up Pastor Ray, Dave, and Roger as they prepare their hearts and notes for their speaking sessions at the conference. Lift up their families, churches and ministries for while they are away. Pray for their health to be strong and over-all protection and anointing.
- Pray for those traveling from outside of Rome and outside of Italy. There are folks coming from America, a pastor coming from Ghana and one wants to come from Congo: some believers from Sicily others from Milan are interested. Isn’t that amazing? Pray for everybody’s safety and health as they travel.
There remain just under four weeks to go and every day is racing by. May God give us grace and strength to rest in Him, yet, labor with diligence to make this as organized and well planned as possible that it might bring great glory to Jesus and be a powerful, blessed, and stronghold breaking and edifying time together in these important times!!
Thank you all for your support, words of encouragement, sacrifices made, and most of all, for your prayers.
We will try to get out a separated prayer list soon without all of the update info. May God bless you as you serve him …not by might, nor by your power, but by His Holy Spirit.
All our love,
Brent, Hope, the girls, and our CC Rome family

Hello Everybody,
I don't have time to say much but I wanted to get out a brief prayer
and praise report. First, Praise!! We are rejoicing and praising
God for his wonderful, miraculous provision for the conference theatre
deposit. We basically had until this weekend to get the amount due.
On Thursday we had a person donate the balance of what we needed.
Jokingly I said, hey, we still had one more day!! Mammamia!! The
amazing thing is that it all pretty much came in over these last
three weeks. God is never late!! We are blessed, humbled, and filled
with excitement and joy. God is going to do mighty things we know.
Thank you for your faithfulness to pray and battle together with
us. Thank you to those of you who made sacrifices and gave with
such conviction and belief in this conference, understanding the
importance of it. Thank you for the many encouraging words and phone
calls. The phone calls were especially nice. It is good to hear
your voices. Thank you for walking in faith with us. May God give
you as much joy and blessing and reward as he has us through this
process and that which remains. Now we go to phase two; getting
even more organized, making up teams, covering details, advertising
etc... Please pray for the teams coming to help that they might
be unified, filled with power, grace, and love, come with willing,
flexible hearts, walking in grace, and ready to pray. May God protect
them and provide for their every need. Then there will be the balance
for the theatre and other costs. We will get more details out later.
Please pray for a young man that is coming to our church while
studying abroad here in Rome. His name is Quinn. I have spaced his
mom's name but he called me asking prayer for his mom as she was
admitted to a hospital in the LA area for severe kidney failure.
Evidently this came out of nowhere. Lift her up, him and the rest
of his family. May God's will be done. We ask for healing, comfort,
guidance, grace for doctors and nurses, and for God to be glorified.
Gotta go for now. Love and blessings to you all.

Hi everybody,
I wanted to get out another quick note now that perhaps you have
revived from cardiac arrest concerning the figures over the conference.
I simply want to encourage you as well as myself that nothing is
big for God. He asked Jeremiah, "is there anything too hard
for me". And that is what I must answer to the Lord as we approach
these things that are impossible for us. God has his people and
his ways. We are asking for your prayers, that as we agree upon
the Lord's will being done for His glory, he will hear our prayer
and answer with great favor, blessing us all and overwhelming us
with His abundant provision. Then we shall praise His name in humility
and gratefulness, rejoicing over his faithfulness.
For now, our main focus is prayer for the deposit that is due at
the end of April. We want to take it simply one step at a time.
We are not trying to have faith for the total amount at this point.
We are asking and believing God for the deposit for the theatre
first. Pray with us as we ask our gracious Heavenly Father to provide
$10,000! By God's grace, $1800 has been committed! Now, we only
have to pray for $8200. Things are already easier, see!!
Thank you. Your prayers are power in this city and in our lives,
against darkness, and in the lives of many whom you probably will
never know until heaven. There, you will surely see and be blessed
as well as rewarded. Praise God!

Monday April 3, 2006
Ciao Fratelli e Sorelle,
Greetings to you on a beautiful sunny day in Rome. It is so refreshing
to have some nice warm, spring weather. It has also been nice to
be in a recent season of spiritual spring as we have experienced
God answering some heart-felt and much needed prayer requests. I
told you about Lidia getting a great job after much wilderness testing
and suffering in various ways. It seems that Paul might be securing
a job this week as well. It has been a year of unemployment for
him with a wife and two kids. Bill's have stacked and it seemed
that they were going down for the count, but we serve the God of
the resurrection don't we. Thanks for your prayers. Keep praying
for healing for Ester and Paola. Pray for a new believer whose first
Sunday in an evangelical church was yesterday. Her name is Elessia.
Pray also for Stefano who is a non-believer and has come a couple
of times recently. Vlady has come through some failed testing and
learning what things can be like when we are not clinging to the
Lord. He is humbled and seems ready to step back, sure up that intimacy
and go forward.
Concerning the conference, I wanted to get back to you on what
your prayers and the good heart of our Heavenly Father produced
last week regarding the theatre. We got the first response from
the (Elisha) theatre granting us use of the facility (great miracle),
asked for a discount since we are renting for 3 days, and after
lot's of faxes, praying and waiting, the administration responded
favorably(another good miracle). We now have until the end of April
to pray in half of the total due for the deposit. Some of you have
written requesting the specific costs involved in order to be praying
more specifically and some desiring to contribute. Here is a list:
Theatre rental costs - $17, 000 for three days incl. theatre,
staff for sound, basic stage lights, and on location fire safety
personnel. We are talking and praying about charging a registration
fee or just taking an offering or suggested donation at the door.
It is a very sensitive issue in Italy, at least in the evangelical
world. Our prayer is that God will provide so that we can make it
all FREE in this works oriented culture.
- Guest speaker costs - $10,000 incl. airfares, honorariums, food
and lodging times 3
- Advertising costs - $3000 incl. brochures, mailings, posters
and invitations, conf. programs, and prayerfully TV. or radio
spot
- Translation costs - (Dave Hunt's new book Judgment Day and Italian
voice over of "A Women Rides the Beast"), perhaps helping
with the printing of Roger Oaklands new book "Queen
of All" - $2500
- Choir costs - Assistance with 70 member Hungarian choir - travel
and lodging costs - $2000
Please keep in mind that this is an international conference with
its main target and goal to:
- minister to Italian churches with the purpose of equipping them
and exhorting them to either get to for the first time, or get
back to, the Word of God and sound doctrine in the context of
a 'Last Day's Deception'.
- reaching lost soul's for Jesus with the gospel of GRACE
To some this may seem expensive. It does to me too, in one sense.
But, it is an eternal investment! It is Rome. It is 3 days of intense
bible teaching sessions and evening outreach concerts. We
spend a lot of money on our houses, cars, recreation, vacations,
teeth whitener's, and so forth of which I am certainly not opposed
to. Easy on the teeth whitener. But, sincerely, pray and consider
the message, the time, the place, the need, and the potential fruit
and impact, not just for one fellowship, but for the Church at large
(particularly in Italy) as well as the amount of people that can
be reached with salvation in these 3 days. As Hope and I watched
the one year tribute for the death of Pope John Paul II last night
on T.V., it was yet another sad and sobering reminder of why God
has called us here, why we are doing this conference, and how much
work there is yet to do as we watched thousands of Catholic faithful,
gathered together in St. Peters square, in unison, praying
to Mary as they were being led by high ranking Cardinals and Vatican
representatives. This was their hope for the possibility that their
pope would not die. Even so, a pope who openly worshiped Mary, attributed
to her his failed assassination attempt, and called millions of
Catholic faithful to pray to her for peace and salvation throughout
his entire papacy.
Well, as we pray, plan, and prepare, we continue to covet your
prayers. God has done great things. We believe he wants to continue
to great things and are glad that you can be a part, however you
decide to participate. For anybody interested in joining us, we
will be taking a couple of days to fast and pray either the coming
weekend or the following weekend all day Friday and Saturday.
Again, thank you as always, and we will be in touch to keep you
updated on prayer needs and praise reports.
By Grace,
Brent Harrell, CC Rome
